As a non-profit, EL ARCA relies on the community for funding, volunteers and the amazing word of mouth that only press appearances give us. Every day something wonderful is happening at EL ARCA, and we want to share those stories with the Greater Los Angeles region.

If you are a reporter or editor looking for stories that will introduce your audience to a great cause, please email us.

CBAS PROGRAM APPROVED AT EL ARCA, INC.

Los Angeles, CA—April 2012, EL ARCA, Inc. is proud to announce that it has received approval from the Department of Aging and the Department of Health Care Services to open a Community Based Adult Services (CBAS) program at its multipurpose center, located at 3839 Selig Place effective April 1, 2012.

The CBAS program is the State replacement for the Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) centers, which were eliminated by the state legislature last year. As a result of a settlement agreement on behalf of more than 35,000 ADHC participants, the State of California instituted the CBAS program to make sure that the frailest and most vulnerable ADHC participants would continue to receive needed services.

The CBAS program will benefit seniors and developmentally disabled adults with medical concerns by providing them nursing care and therapeutic activities at the program site. In addition, physical, occupational and speech therapy services will be provided as needed and according to the individualized plan of care. EL ARCA will also be providing reliable transportation to and from home in addition to a hot meal every day.

If you would like more information about the CBAS program or would like to tour our facilities, please contact us at 323-223-3079.
